I have just moved to Calgary and am looking for some dealers. I'm not hardcore into coins, but a place to find a few of the newer circulation and one that has banknotes (Canadian or world) would be ideal. As of now I'm just looking for some banknote pages to place some notes in. Your help is appreciated

trikdoutcobalt Hi and welcome to Calgary. You could try Clyde Vincett at the Crossroads Market, 1235 - 26th Avenue SE. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. You say your not hardcore into coins but I will mention the Calgary Numismatic Society meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association, 1320 - 5th Avenue NW if you are interested in coming to a meeting. It's not just about coins. Lots of paper money collectors too. Great bunch of people. They have a bus going up to the Edmonton Coin Show on November 5 if that appeals to you. Would be nice to meet you there.

I've always had a good time at the Calgary Coin Gallery, it's just a few blocks south of that small version of the CN Tower I forget what it's called.

I believe you mean the one at 1404 Centre St SE, south of the Calgary Tower.
My adult son has done well buying from them at coin shows in Calgary. I don't know how they are to deal with at their shop.

While I've never made it to the store, Albern is often recommended as well
1615 centre st NW
I notice they have an online store as well.

I have been to Albern to buy and sell bullion (bars or maple leaf) or to get current non circulating that the Canada Mint has put out.
They are not the place to pick up a 1950 Arnprior silver dollar.
