I liked the idea of the removing 2017 Goose Dollar - it wasn't really related to the theme. Now, the center is empty, while as I understand the circulation coinage, the design is mostly around main element...but imo, is better than version 1. What about 1911 Silver Dollar - hasn't been it meant for circulation? Face value seems to be better keep in line with the rest RCM 1kg Silver coins, or alternative to put Silver Dollar in the traditional way.

I think a denomination of $600 would make sense for such a commemorative piece. Quote: What about 1911 Silver Dollar - hasn't been it meant for circulation? The 1911 SD wasn't planned as a commemorative coin nor was it issued for circulation. IMO, it would be out of place in a design that incorporates Canada's circulating commemorative SDs.

Yes, this last version is even better, you should submit it as a theme to the RCM at their website.

If minting a one kilo Silver Dollar commemorative of circulating commemoratives is not possible, it would be really cool if a creative and artful coin frame of sorts could be made so that the collector could insert real samples of each of the six SDs In the spaces. I think that would greatly appeal to both NCLT and circulation collectors alike, an interesting twist, a combination of a new NCLT with original coins also minted by the mint.

Just all of about without extremely limited mintage, and without all these "rare", "scarce", "VHTF" stuff... People have to enjoy, well, the price could be the limit tough

Ugliest Kilo coin I've have ever seen. Last month the RCM had the best looking gold plated Coat of Arms Kilo coin and this month they have the ugliest coin ever. Not only the ugliest but the most expensive Kilo coin too. This Kilo coin is $2499 while the Coat of Arms one is only $2329. If anyone is looking for a Kilo coin buy the Coat of Arms Kilo coin which is really a piece of art.

@justsilver/MoneyPenney: As this thread was started to discuss the OP's concept for a kilo coin vs. an actual coin, it might be better if one of you starts a new thread on the RCM's latest kilo release so that the discussion here does not get confused. Just a thought...
