So this weekend I went back to the bank for more small dollars and they had 2 boxes waiting for me. I was going after the SBA wide rim variety & the mule 2000 P Sacagawea coin (I know Hail Mary coin, but what ever). Spoiler no $40,000 coin found today. Still I was surprised to see so many 1979 P wide rim varieties. I'm starting to wonder just how scarce this variety actually is.

Here is a side by side of the two year varieties for that year/mint:

The narrow rim are the common one, the 1980-81 are normally the wide rims:

What do you think about the Cheerios variety? Worth hunting for?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But the cheerios sacs were not all the variety. Also. The variety was transitional. It was the reverse die for a 1999 pattern. So I think it would be something to look for. Since it brings in a hefty premium

How many were opened and spent? I saw a number of 5,500 struck. So how many of these are out there.
