Hi everyone. I have a Canadian $5 bill with serial number 8885888. Its circulated and wrinkled but very cool and I think quite rare. Would it be best to place it on ebay and any idea of its worth? Thanks for any advice! I can add pics.

Not many people care about modern circulated bills. You might get some money for it, but it probably will not be for an enormous profit.

i have said before - and will repeat my opinion. I really do not understand why any currency bill - should be expected to be worth a premium, based only on the searial number. after all - they are mealy the next number in a sequience. I will give you - that yours has some "cool" factor - to it, but I dont't "get" its premium value. just my opinion.

I don't get it either, but people collect all sorts of things.
I predict 12$
Though if it was a buy it now I think a person would pay 25-30$ if it was flattened first in a book, to get them wrinkles to lay flat

I appreciate your opinion but being a 4 combination bill, radar, binary, near solid and bookend, wouldn't it be considered a collector bill for that? Personally, I haven't seen one before.

Oh I agree it is one of the best radar combos. But, I If it was a 8883888 it would be a rotator radar, then it Might get around 50-75 maybe
I think it will do ok

Hard to get the wrinkles out of the polymer bills.

Quote: being a 4 combination bill, radar, binary, near solid and bookend, wouldn't it be considered a collector bill for that? Just a small correction, for it to be a binary note, it would usually need to be a combination of 0's and 1's. Unfortunately the condition of the note will keep this bill under $10, in my opinion. I hope you get as much as you can from it. Yes, its still a great serial number combo. Congrats for finding it.

There must be a way to clear up some of those creases

Try an iron. Lol. That would be a very bad idea.
I've sold recent bills with simple radars at a coin shop in the GTA for 50% over face value. I think someone out there will buy it for over $20. People have bought less valuable things for much more money.
