Hello all,

This was a recent purchase. Does it look authentic and what grade would you give it. The color is much darker than in the pictures.

It does look like the C-1 variety but the L in Liberty just doesn't look right to me..... anyone else?

Looks good and I'd also be at VF-30. It's impossible to tell from these photos, as you mention the coin is much darker in hand, but I don't see any tell-tale signs of cleaning.

Although, using only the photo you've provided I'd say it has been dipped.

One of those times you almost have to have the coin in hand.

Just looking at an old post ....Half cents are one of my faves ..... does anyone else see a problem with the "L" in Liberty? I do. Any thoughts on it or is there a logical explanation?
