babysitr asked in another thread for suggestions on how to get started, here are some of the methods I've used
Google and type the full name of the bank including the state (e.g. First National Bank of Stewartsville Missouri). You'll have to sift through the results this can be tedious.
The Annual Report of the Comptroller are available for free online https://fraser.stlouisfed.org/title/56 pre-1920 reports list the President and Cashier.
Sometimes typing one of those names plus the bank name will turn up information on the individual.
If local, check with a library or historical society to see if any books on city and/or county history have been written.
If I think of any other suggestions/advice, I'll add it to this thread. -MV
