Both are additions that I needed for my VF+ 1909-1929 book, 1930-present UNC.

Might have paid closer to retail for the 1910, but I've seen some in the AU+ range sell for over $10 so I figured I'd put a max bid @ $5 and won it. AU-58?

The 1928 has a RB toned appearance to it, doesn't appear to have ever been cleaned but I won't know until I get it in person. Kind of looks like it but if you look closer it just looks like toning from being UNC and maybe improperly stored. Low MS?
Rest in Peace

I would have said you'll be safe with the 1910 , but stay away from that 1928 .
But you already pulled the trigger .

Both look ~AU. The color is questionable on the 1928.

Personally, I like the color on the '28 and feel it is completely natural. Good pickup.

IMHO...

The 1928 appears to have a blotchy bluish tone similar to what I've seen on cents that have been treated with a popular coin cleaner / enhancer that was meant to be used only on nickel or silver coins... Some may find this blue tone attractive, I'm a bit turned off by it because it's unnatural.

The 1910 could just be a very poorly taken photo, and could turn out to be a little gem, in hand.

But considering what you paid for both of them I'd say you have nearly nothing to lose on either of them..

Enjoy..

Look forward to see new photos of both coins after they have an acetone bath.

I'd say you did quite well, good pickups for what you paid.
