Light spotting would keep it from anything higher.

One of the more interesting parts of this coin is I bought it for real cheap in an ICG holder graded 65 and I just thought it looked like it could do better so I took the chance. Very Happy with the results!

Hummmm....your pictures must not be telling the story, they make the luster look flat and the spots accentuated.

I would have never guessed MS 66 for the OP' S coin. And I have question some coins coming out of PCGS lately. I wonder what ANACS would have graded it ...

I am in no way an expert in coins whatsoever. But I did hear that 1955 was a very poor quality year. Do Graders lower the standards or be more lenient on years that are of lower quality Vs higher quality years? Also, for this specific die variety The O in One and the AMS In United States of America on the Reverse is very very worn on all grades. So to compare a 65 from 1939-d and 1955-s/s/s might not be a accurate comparison. See the difference? Let me know your thoughts and answers t the above. I love learning. Also, I have not had a chance to read the photographing section of this community but would love to when I get a chance. I have posted many of my recent coins and I would agree with the above that the luster is non present in the photos but not so in hand. I also only use my IPhone6 for all my photos.I hope to one day have one of those Microscopes that have been turned into coin magnifying machines that take great photos!
