1844 Crown - Strange Anomally On Face

Hi

Please see photo of two 1844 crowns. The one on the left has a strange raised pimple of raised silver with an X stamped into it, just below Queen Victoria's ponytail.
As you can see there is nothing like this on the other 1844 crown or any others I have seen depicted in photographs.
Can anyone shed any light on this anomally.

Post mint damage chisel or some other instrument . Ruined it.

Yes, that accounts for the stamped 'X' but not for the raised silver which looks like it came from the mint. No way could the stamping action have caused the raised silver. Not sure if the raised nature is clear from the photo but trust me it is like a pimple/spot on the coins otherwise plain field.
