This might be a silly question... I just noticed that the 2016 Remembrance Day coin is still using the obverse designed by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.

I was under the impression that all coins minted recently should be using Jody Clark's new obverse design.

Am I mistaken? Or is there any particular reason why this coin is still using the old obverse?

FYI this is the coin I am talking about:

Thanks

I assume that's because it's an Alderney coin rather than a GB issue. The Channel Islands don't necessarily change the portraits on their coins at the same time as Great Britain - Jersey, for instance, went on using the Machin portrait until 1997 whereas on GB coins it was replaced in 1985.

@NumisRob: Thanks. Looks like you are right. I just did a quick search and all recent Alderney coins still use the old obverse.
