I'm going to say PMD unfortunately, I see no Blaksley(SP) effect on the opposite side, and the reverse is very strong on that side.
And it appears there are tooling marks on that edge as well.

I am far from an expert, but, its what I see

I was going to mention absence of weak strike opposite the clip but I see its already been mentioned so I will concur with that assessment and add that the clip does not match the radius of a nickel so it is unlikely that it was a clipped planchet.

I see evidence of a widening on the opposite rim from the Blakesley affect. It looks different than what we are used to seeing. Note on 'AM' on AMERICA? Also on "LIBE' on the opposite side on LIBERTY. The ends of the clipped area look correct. I looks like a circulated example. I wondered why the base of the bust area was weak, but on the edge of the coin it may have been damaged and flattened a bit in circulation on that area of the coin. I feel it is original.

It is a tough one but I do see tapered rims on the reverse also I'd have to agree with genuine nice find!

I think it's a real clip.
Nickel coins, because of the metal hardness, often show much less (or no) Blakesley Effect.
And the "down slope" character of the rim at each side of the clip is more evidence.

When in doubt, look for die flow on the peripheral devices next to the clip. Although a bit weak, you can see it on IN GOD. The effect is much more prominent on larger clips and can result in "fishtailing" on the devices as seen on the reverse of this V nickel-
