1907 V Nickel With Hole - Coin Community Forum

rkallogy New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 10/19/2016 09:32 am Hi all, pretty new to collecting. I have a bag of V nickels and this one from 1907 has a hole started. Most of the time when someone drills a hole it's to use it as jewelry or to run something through it; not just make a hole. I'd keep it just because it's an oddball. Report this Post to the Staff

hozer Valued Member United States 422 Posts	Posted 10/20/2016 8:33 pm Looks like it may have been caused by an infected hair from shaving and a Dr had to surgically remove the hair. Post surgery the Dr left it open to drain. I believe that there may have been a slight barely noticeable scar. Report this Post to the Staff
