This is cool. More focused than my current method. Right now I just collect by buying lots to clean and get what I get. I want to build an emperor collection. I really want a Marcus Aurelius.
My guess is that they did come from a single collection. I wonder if the numismatist who amassed this collection picked Roman temples for a specific reason, such as he or she was an architect.

I got a newsletter which explains that they come from an old collection of architectural reverses, some with some pedigrees going back to the 19th century, most are traceable to the mid 20th century. Out of them all there is only 1 I would like to have but the starting price is already at the ceiling of what I thought it would sell for
