I have a 1966 Lincoln Penny. It's missing the E in E pluribus unum. Is this a common error. And what's it worth?

Hi James -

Hard to state in absolute terms, but without pictures, it may be a case of a Grease Filled Die. Review the tutorial on how to post photos and go ahead and post a picture. There are a number of folks with deep expertise who can confirm what you have there.

Have fun in the forums!

Really hard to tell without a picture but it sounds like a very common error and is worth one cent.

I agree that it is most likely a minor grease filled error. Nice to keep for an example. It's also a Copper cent which carries a tiny bit of metal value above face value.
