It is were a mint mark punched into the die, it would raise from the field. I'm not seeing that. Coin contact can alter the devices, but that usually is incuse (sunk into the surface). But a mint mark punch would leave a positive raised area on the coin. IE: on the reverse of your coin there is a mark near the 'N' on cent. It is incuse from damage, but it leaves a raised area around the damage. This looks like a 'D', but that is just damage displacing the metal leaving a crater. So unless it is in the target area for a normal mint mark punch, the eyes are telling you it is something when it is not really there. Hope this helps.
