The Chinese government has not issued new circulating coinage designs for Hong Kong since the takeover and formation of the SAR. The coin designs in circulation remain the "transitional" bauhinia flower designs. The 1997 uncirculated set coins with the different reverses were not issued for circulation.
How much these coins actually circulate is debatable. The Octopus card, a cashless minor transactions RFT card originally designed for public transport but rapidly expanded into other retail sectors, serves as small change for most people. They issued a batch of circulation coinage in 2012 for the fist time after a 14-year hiatus, as there simply had not been the demand for further coinage.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
