Hi everyone..I'm a new member here..I've been collecting coins here and there for about 10 yrs..I'm curious if anyone knows any detailed info on the pictured coin..I've done some research online and believe it's a east india company coin, but could not find one that looked similar. Thank you for any help or info anyone may have.   |

Nowhere near my books at present but I think it ma be a paysa from East Africa, Mombassa or thereabouts. i'll check when I get home.

Not sure of the date..but it looks like there's a "18" under the heart shield

It would be a 1/2 pice from India - British (see here). The date looks to be 1821. Edited by Joseph7420
