Here's the other coin I have not been able to ID.

Diameter is 17 mm. and weight is .74 gram.

Not sure which side is the obverse and which is the reverse.

It's another Italian piece! This one is from Piacenza in the North of Italy and is either a mezzano or a grosso depending on the size (16 mm or 20 mm, respectively). It dates from 1140 to 1313 AD. Piacenza only issued a few coins. Here is a link to another example of your coin:

Thank you for identifying this coin for me.

I could not begin to guess what the letters in the middle of the designs designated. I would never have thought they were continuations of the rim legends.

@paul, yes medieval letters can be tough, even when the flow of the legends make sense. You may find this link interesting:

At the time, I had envisioned taking a close look at the shapes of multiple letters, but now having gotten entangled in a couple multi-post threads, I have not gotten past the letter A.
