Hi all, first-time poster, I've inherited a set of coins and random bits from a relative, but have never seen anything like this one before. I think it may be some novelty token perhaps but wondered if anyone could tell me anything more?

I have tried endless searches online but found nothing as yet.
it reads: 'GO AND HAVE THE BEST DINNER IN BIRMm FOR 6D AT KINGS PARADE 29 1/2" and is dated 1872.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

This is an advertising token. During the 19th century many UK businesses had them made and circulated to promote trade. They were not supposed to have any financial value like a coin, but there was a whole series of unofficial farthings. What diameter is this token?

A muffin and two fried eggs.I would recommend a jab in the butt of Alexander Flemmings potion.

I should imagine it would get you a fine meal. Not fit for a king, but still more than 2 eggs and a muffin. I watched a show about building the railroads in England and many of the laborer type jobs paid 1 shilling per day in Victorian days. I would think half a days wages would buy a hearty meal.
