No, the shape of the 3 in the date isn't even close.

Hi it is possible that it is a genuine but it's hard to tell as there are so many fakes about but if in doubt take to a coin specialist first to see if it is gold but you could just wait and see on here as the people on this site are very helpful hope you find out what your looking for but what a nice coin I think

I would consider that a fake 1943 bronze until proven otherwise

Likely fake indeed, but there's so much damage to this coin that I don't think you can use the shape of anything as much of an indicator.

Also, if you look closely at the ebay picture with the zoom, you can see that someone doctored the photo a little bit... there's some microsoft paint issues going on... around the purported 3... in my humbled conclusion, this is a 1945.
