Saw this in a bank roll and thought it looked strange. It's a 1983 and it's made out of plastic.

I've heard of using plastic to pay for stuff but this carries it to a new level.

List it on the Bay as rare one of a kind Lincoln Cent.
This rarity would probably fetch thousands $ at a major auction, starting bid at $0.99 No reserve ! $25 shipping ,
( Insurance on this rare coin ).
Bid with confidence ,and don't forget to check out my other crap on my E-Bay store.

I've got a few pieces of Play Money in my Misc. collection binder. That one would fit right in.It's much more realistic than the grey .25 Cdn quarter that I have.

In the 1940's, they experimented with plastic cents as an alternative to Copper during the war years. The experimental cents were made of plastic, glass, rubber, Bakelite, fiber, and other odd materials. As many of you already know, they decided on Steel and used it in the 1943 cents. I recently saw an article where a glass cent was found intact. Previously the only know example of a glass pattern cent was broken.
Here is a link to more information about the experimental cents: http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/E...20Cents.html

Just sharing a bit of info for those who didn't know!

Yeah, just put it in the box with your 1933 double eagle.

Or you could get to keep it like happened in this story:
