or quickly rotting away. It's only 9 years old. This is a perfect example of why properly stored Zinc cents might be a wise investment for the future.

Try to keep them in an air tight container protected from the atmosphere.

One collector saved his coin in a bottle of mineral oil in a tube, years ago. They had been in there since the 1940's. But lost track of him years ago, so I don't know how they are today. But probably storing cents in oil that are plated, might not work. They might still loosen the plating? The ones He had were copper cents.
