I have been looking at some low grade certifieds like VG10 for some key dates I don't want to spend 4 or 5 thousand on in higher grades, some of them are closer to 40-50 thousand. So what's the lowest graded certified coin you have?

1798 Draped Bust Large Cent, 2nd Hair Style, Rev of 97 in VG-8

My uncle had it in a blue cardboard type set folder. I had it certified and encapsulated when it was passed to me.

I cracked it out but the lowest graded coin I bought was a 1916D Mercury dime AG-03
It was all I could afford.
That or an empty hole in my album.

I have a few LWH dollars in Good condition. I just wont' buy a coin if I can't read the date. Jax.....are you looking for Morgans? I know some of those babies will cost you even in VG. The thing about Morgans in less than VF condition that I have seen is that they tend to look pretty bleak. The either have that black toning or they are very worn and don't match the rest of your set at all. With Morgans you can get a 1978 in mint condition and then you have to buy a 1893-S in good condition due to cost it just looks pretty awful in a set. I have some Morgans that are just VG and they look pretty rough alongside one in MS64.

None of my classic coins are graded, but more than a few in 7070 are on the low end.
