They are not proof, however they do appear to be uncirculated business strike cents. Awesome find coin roll hunting! I would pull out the highest grade coins and set them aside. Also, check them for mint errors!

A little more explanation. U. S. proof regular coinage (not commemoratives, bullion and the like) has only been minted at San Francisco with an S mint mark since 1968. Prior to 1964, all proofs were from Philidelphia with no mint mark. As far as I can remember at the moment, Denver has never issued a proof coin.

The look like rolls from the 70's. It wouldve been better if you kept it the way it was IMO

I would look through them for any high grade and put those in 2x2's. Also look for errors and varieties,if any put those in 2x2's. Nice find. John1

As others have already stated, proofs from this year will have the "S" mintmark. They do look really nice and you might want to check them for varieties if you are interested in those.

Looks like you picked up a few OBW rolls ( solid date ) 1974-D . They should all be uncirculated .

to the forum! Proof is not a grade but a type of coin made with special polished dies. They are not released for circulation, but sold to collectors by the mint. Mint State (MS) coins are regular business strike coins issued for circulation that are still in the same condition they were when they left the mint, some collectors refer to these as "uncirculated".

Always nice to pickup nice BU rolls. I can't think of a Denver proof .... Suggestion .. look for a cheap proof set, so you can compare proof to business strike coins.
