Hello All,

I purchased a few BU rolls of America the Beautiful Quarters from different dealers, and I noticed that there are two different kinds.

One kind is having black text on white paper, and the ends of the rolling paper are black too. They have program name and quarter name, so I suspect that they are directly rolled in the mint and sold with a premium at the beginning.

Another kind is using commercial wraps, like Loomis or NF String & Son. They are also BU coins. So my questions are, where are those coins wrapped? In facilities of commercial banks (like BOA or Chase), or somewhere else?

Also, is there any difference between the coin qualities for these two kinds of rolls? I don't see any noticeable difference.

Hope you could answer my questions. Thanks!

No, they are wrapped exactly where they say they are, by the armored car companies that also act as cash dispensing agents for the Fed. This was outsourced several years ago. The coins are delivered in Ballistic Bags of something like $1000 or more face and wrapped by the dispensing agent.

The rolls with white paper, black text and black ends, are the rolls that are
sold by the mint. In my experience the coins in these rolls are better quality.

The rolls can be P or D or S mint.

The orange and white are Fed rolls.
