KM# Pn27 according to 2003 Krause its supposed to be worth $1150 in MS condition

Is this the coin and could it be a fake?

G'day, commonly called the "fat man dollar".
One of the most-commonly counterfeited coins in China.
First thing to check is the weight.

Except this isn't a dollar, it's a half, like he said in the thread title.

I believe this is an ordinary Year 3 50 cents (KM/Y# 328). The pattern is described as having "L.Giorgi" on it. The pic of 328 in Krause is unclear, and the pic on NumisMaster for Pn27 isn't much better, but I believe it's supposed to be on the obverse, behind the president's shoulder.

CV for KM/Y# 328 is $6.50 in VG, $20 in Fine. With all those scratches, I'd definitely lean towards VG.
