Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 11/15/2016 1:03 pm I don't know, but I will guess. That first item looks like it was attached to something that has since decayed. Maybe it was part of some horse rein or it was attached to a person's belt. The second item looks like an ink well. Does the top come off? If if looks like it can be opened then it could have been used to hold ink, salt, spices, etc. I'm just guessing.... Report this Post to the Staff

These were generally used by the Egyptions, but the Chinese used them , as well. Signifying a shrine, a part/pieces removed during the mummification process were stored in these. I could be way off on this supposition, as the iron (?) piece does not resemble any body part I'm aware of. Report this Post to the Staff
