The line around the edge is where the two halves of the mold meet. So this is a cast counterfeit.

coin may be lead so don't handle it anymore and please wash your hands thoroughly now that you have held it..not all hope is lost, assuming it is a counterfeit, it may be a contemporary one and have collector value.
