There are thousands of TIMES more counterfeits of this coin than genuine coins.

Market value?
If genuine, I saw some of these at recent coin shows and they vary. Some sellers have them for $70 and other sellers have them for a couple hundred dollars and a few even more than that. So it's not the same if you check around.
If it is not genuine, but the common Chinese fake, then some will tell you it's worth nothing at all, however some people do collect them and are willing to pay about $2.

I did see this coin as most likely genuine. I believe it was a normal type, but there are probably many variants of this type as in generel for these China dollars. It sold for about $50. If it was a normal variant of this type it was probably the standard price here in Denmark, but had it been a rare variant, then it could probably cost thousands of dollars. I did not buy it. This one's year is 1919 (year 8),the most expensive year.
Assuming it is genuine, in Japan it would sell for over US$100.
Also called YSK or fat man dollar.

There are so many variations in the popular Fat Man Dollar I gave up trying to comprehend them all. So I never pinpointed mine, I just went with the generic catalog number.
