I am very happy to finally add a denarius to my collection. I choose this coin because I really liked the portrait. I wish the silver wouldn't have been cleaned so much, but know it will retone over time. Antoninus Pius AR Denarius 156AD (3.29g/16.5-17.5mm) Obverse: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P IMP II Laureate Head Right Reverse: TR Pot XIX COS IIII Annona standing left with corn ears and modius set on prow RIC 249 Sorry for slightly out of focus pictures. Was hand holding which I know I shouldn't do, but to lazy to break out tripod.

If you want to retone the coin forget it in the W.C. room for several days... the natural metane and ammonium gases will retone the coin.

Wrap the coin in a ball of newsprint and leave inside a small box. It will "retone" it nicely And slowly too !!!
A few months might do

I concur about retoning, I too bought one like that and left it in an old envelope for a while, it helped it get a little gold on the edges. Nice coin, and a GREAT start!
