I have always enjoyed the grossos of Venice because they so closely represented climb to ascendancy on the Mediterranean. Of course no good idea goes uncopied. The coin pictured is an AR grosh of Stefan Uros II, Serbia, 21mm, 2.01 grams. Fun medieval silver coin!! And a neat collecting area.
