Here is a 1964 D Washington quarter that I was finally able to get a shot of with axial lighting to show off its color. What would you grade it? Also the eagle seams to have a bad case of cauliflower ear Is this a known variety?

I'm no expert but the toning is beautiful. MS64+

Interesting coin...
Are the colors in the pictures the same as it looks in hand?

Lovely looking and appears naturally toned. Strictly graded 64 but the value is much more because of the bullseye tone.
I think that lump is a drone transceiver required of all active duty eagles.

Late die state with heavy flow lines and the typical LDS reverse arcing die cracks through the wings but with bonus retained die chips!! This George came off some pretty beat up dies!
No call on the toning except to say that it's rather beautiful.
Obverse & Reverse do show substantial contact marks probably roll or bag marks, I would say MS63 with a shot at 64 tops.

If that's natural toning, it is one of the more spectacular toned specimens I have ever seen. Nice coin.

It's natural. Beautiful doesn't necessarily mean artificial toning. This one exhibits the darker peripheral colors and even center distribution most commonly caused by a holder with a hint of sulfur in the paper or cardboard.
