Hi,
Have got found what looks like a relatively old coin whilst clearing out my desk. It's not in a very good condition and my photos aren't exactly clear however what I can tell you is that is quite small in diameter and thin with what appears to be a "G" recognisable on its front and a 9-diamond shape pattern on its back. The other words written on it aren't exactly identifiable.

Would be very glad if someone managed to find out anything about it, all my attempts have been fruitless. In the meantime I'll try to get some better pictures, my phone isn't really cutting it.

Even *slightly* better pics would be a huge help. I can't quite make out more of the inscriptions than RES.

If you can cut out all the background and just leave the coin that alone might help a lot.

A grano from Malta - I think KM#298 which fits with the (upside down in the picture!) "G", so probably dated 1785/86.
