Looks flat and shelf like so that means MD.

I enjoyed seeing it. You never know until you ask.

Not seeing any doubled die. Did you happen to notice that tiny gouge (?) to the left of the 1?

B/t/w I forgot to mention this.

Two keys to look for:

1) Reduction in device area is a dead giveaway of MD

2) Notching is indicative of doubled dies.

It'll be difficult to locate a more informative thread having side-by-side color pictorials that clearly demonstrate why some coins have MD and others do not:

...a definite keeper for book marking.

The image was squashed a bit, so when I compared it with a normal one, here is the result:

So not real conclusive from what I can see yet. It may be a normal coin with MD altering the devices? The 7 which is closer to the rim is not altered. So that gives me a red flag as to a DDO. The devices circulation flattening also alters the coin. so I undecided at this point, but leaning toward MD only.

Could be a DDO with MD, but I'd like to see a Mint State example to confirm

If you are really motivated, send it in to a TPG for varietal attribution. Then even if they get it wrong, it will at least be encased with an official determination that holds more weight.

Just keep this thread posted with a photo of the end result should you decide to pursue this suggestion.

Get the best image possible and send it email to John Wexler and see what he thinks? His email address is on the bottom of his home page:
