I like mine for photographing details, but for everyday stuff, I prefer a regular loupe.

Save yourself 20.00 to spend on a coin by:
1. buying a laser pointer and scavenging its lens.

I don't know where the thread is, but another member revised my design during his lunch break. He found the inside lid from a spice container (at the dollar store) needed a slight modification to hold the lens. He then taped the unit to the bottom of his phone, took some pics, and posted them.

Its simple, inexpensive, and I found the laser pointer lens method is more powerful than the macro lens attachments I got from ebay.

or

2. On ebay the macro lenses are a lot less than 21.95 plus shipping - as low as 1.00!

Type in "iphone macro lens" and choose the <lowest price and shipping option? and the <show Buy It Now auctions>.
The lenses work with any phone.

With the money you save you could easily get a proof silver Ike or an ASE
