Lot Bycatch... Medieval European Bracteate?

I was going for the very nice Kushan at the bottom, plus the very scarce Constantius Gallus double standard type (sadly not a Vetranio!). The squarish silver coin did catch my eye: Any ideas? Medieval European really isn't my thing... too fragile, obscure rulers, and horridly illegible legends. I think I have seen similar attributed as a bracteate pfennig from ca. 12th century Germany? Can't even imagine how long that would have taken me to figure out; looks like the guy is so obscure, only the German Wikipedia has an article on him!
