So hopefully these come through.. hubby said to send front back and fg images So you all could get a whole picture of the coin. ... But what should I do with it now.. a couple of years of looking for something "good" ... Now what? Do I need to send it to be graded? I really respect and appreciate your feedback thank you!

It looks like the one to me. These do go for a bit. If you'd like to sell it. You should try to get it certified by a TPG. I'd recommend PCGS because Fred Weinberg is their error and variety certifier. It will cost you an extra $15 but It is worth it IMO

There is no doubt the pics show a serif "G". Good find.

Depending on current retail value decides whether or not to have slabbed. It needs to be worth at least $100-$150 to justify the cost of slabbing. If you plan on keeping it in the family use ANACS,if you plan on selling it soon use PCGS. Check ebay sold values for an idea of current values. Nice find, congrats.

I've been looking (I do have an ebay store for my antiques collectibles etc since 2010) - but I cannot find this error to compare value. - does anyone have any idea if it is actually worth it to send it in? sure seems expensive......

I'm pretty sure it's under $100.

I am thinking the 1988-D has a value of around $300.00+ but a lot of that depends on the condition of the coin.

Keep looking for some sales results from places like ebay or Heritage coin auctions.

EDIT: Something that I forgot to include, I think there are several different varieties of the RVD-006. You will need to identify which one you have to determine an accurate value.

There are, mine is RDV-006.2. Check variety vista and wexlers' sites. $300 is a bit much IMHO.

Could we get a closer shot at the reverse 'S' near the right steps field. I was wondering if it was incuse on the coin (sunken in) or level with the field?
