Does anyone have any info on good books / literature / contacts for old coins and tokens I have found from the 1880's?

There are books that cover all u.s coins from all years, the most basic of which is called "The Red Book".

There are hundreds of other books on very specific denominations or periods.

I can assure you that if you can give us a few examples, preferably one per post, with pictures, that you will receive considerable help.

First welcome to CCF.

One thing that would be helpful is understand whether your collection is all Canadian coins and tokens (you posted in that area of CCF and you live there).
