I am stumped. Is that wear on Lincoln? I do not see the same discoloration on the reverse high spots.

The dark areas don't have to be wear spots they could just be toning. The spots on the reverse bother me though. John 1

Not uncommon on copper to see dark areas from both toning and the slightest touch of human hands, even on uncirculated pieces.

The carbon spots and the bit of rub take away the eye appeal of this coin but, it's still pretty nice, MS-60RB

MS-65RB. I think there is enough tone areas on it to get an RB grade.

64RB; feel pretty certain the carbon spotting will hold it back.

I would think MS-64 RB, although it might make RD.
