Was wondering if anyone out there can help me out with this coin - is this a real coin and what is its value? The denticles on the first pic don't look right to me. Does your piece attract a magnet? swamperbob Pillar of the Community United States 5362 Posts	Posted 12/09/2016 12:23 am I agree it is a forgery - it is actually worth melt value for the metal it contains. If it is magnetic it might be pure nickel and could be worth about 33 cents each but you would likely need a few hundred to find a scrap metal buyer. An alloy would be worth about $2 a pound or 13 cents each at most. I buy these for $1 if it is a new type I have not seen before and 13 cents to remove individuals from the marketplace in bulk.
