The United States mint at Carson City did not mint any Morgan dollars that year. (1886)

Fifty cents if it's counterfeit, and about $3,500,000 if it's genuine. Carson City did not mint dollars in 1886.

A suggestion justabeginner - get a copy of the RedBook. You'll find a listing of every coin minted in the U.S. in it - it will help avoid any confusion if you're thinking about buying any U.S. coin.

You should also spend a good maount of time researching any series you wish to buy into before you take the plunge. Keeps you from getting ripped off.
