Varieties exist having long left (hair) ribbon, long right ribbon, or equal ribbons, with equal ribbons being theoretically most common.
Probably more interesting about the 1832 series of Nova Scotia half pennies is the large number of contemporary forgeries. All together they add up to many times the varieties as the official issues.
Charlton Canadian Colonial Tokens Vol 8 is excellent reference material, as is Canadian Coins and Tokens by Haxby.
