I found this dime in Alabama going through a change jar for a local charity. The jar is located at a very high traffic point for tourists and provides some stunning US coins. I also occasionally get some foreign coins, mostly Canadian. The photo does not do the coin justice as it does have very full luster on both sides. The micro scratches are not noticeable even with a loop, but here they are. I thought this was a superb looking coin in hand. Opinions please. I was thinking in the MS67 range before the photos.

I know pictures really bring out the coin's marks/hits but unless seen in hand I don't think we would be able to give an exact answer

A very nice find from Alabama. An MS67 coin for this date would have the most miniscule imperfections (if any) and would have an almost perfect strike. This coin unfortunately shows some wear and a below average strike IMO and is not uncirculated.

The pics definitely point out the problems much better than in hand. The wear shows better too. The small nick above the eye looks like a bag mark in the loop and the dark line a discolored rub mark. Still the newest coin in my small Canadian section. Thanks for the comments.

Well John, the Humane Society made a 3 cent profit from it. I replaced it with a US dime.

I didn't know that QE11 was also the Queen of U.S.A. ! ! The coin pictured reminds me of the Beach Boys song: I Get Around. There is always a small percentage of foreign coins in circulation on any country. Most of the foreign coin junk in Australia are of the U.S.A., south Pacific countries, or old British. A couple of days ago, I received a Swiss 5 Francs coin in substition for an Australian 50 Cents. The Swiss coin has over 6 times the buying power in Switzerland, than does the 50 Cents coin in Australia. Still have to write off value of 50 Cents, however.

Not mint state, too much chatter in the fields.

Modern Canadian coins hold much better than american ones. I think even 20 years from now they will be worth but shiny
