With my limited knowledge this appears to have been dipped although the rim does not. It weighs 2.56 grams

It doesn't look dipped to me but more like a ground find by a metal detector.

Thanks never thought of that can't remember where I got it was in the coffee can full I'm finally going through I think I'll put it in some acetone and see if it will clean up a bit

Your better bet would be to save your time and spend this cent ASAP to avoid the bad karma of an abused Lincoln.

The bumps on the coin is probably the zinc dust that was pm the surface. (it was an issue with rinsing at that time). I agree it may have been found outdoors or burned a bit to darken it. spendable

pretty hard to spend as merchants don't take pennies any more up here I'll clean it and put it back in the bucket and my Grandson can do with it what he will
