Have you ever successfully warned an
ebay bidder of forgery/fraud?
I realize that now
ebay hides the identities of every bidder until the auction closes.

But, in the past I used to warn bidders of outright forgeries where they stood to lose hundreds of $.
While it lasted, this was a fun and rewarding diversion

Now and then, I'll take a moment to contact winning bidders when they stand to lose a lot of money. However, I'm not sure my emails go through anymore--even after the auction has closed. Is this just a waste of time, or has anyone had success in contacting a winner--and saving them $?
