Is a Grease Filled Die a bad thing? I have found 2 like this over the years.
Rest in Peace

Grease Filled Dies rarely add a great deal to the value, unless an entire word or major element is completely eliminated or very faint.

Small grease fills like this one won't add much to the value, other than it being an interesting addition to a collection strictly as an educational aid.

New collectors like these. But as you look back after a few years of searching, you will wonder, 'What was I thinking for saving this?" Don't make my mistake. I put them in 2X2's. Now I realize I wasted 5 cents per cent I put in there. Keep them in a tube. I save mine in my collection to remind me, What was I thinking...'

It is the result of a Grease Filled Die.

Good eye!

I keep mine in 2X2 holders, but then again, I keep all sorts of things in 2X2's. I guess it makes them easier for me to find later.
