That's ok.... it would not have been the first time I have forced you to pay full market value for a coin!!

SPP will recommend sending to PCGS...I will recommend slabbing with CCCS or NGC... it's really a personal preference. You will note I have 6 double struck 1969s on ebay right now, 3 are in NGC holders, 3 are in CCCS holders. If you want to see how they will look slabbed, have a look!

I'm torn between letting them go and keeping them...it may be a common date but you get to see cool examples of different rotation angles whether double struck on same side or flipped over.

yes @ C-V it is a personal preference isn't it? I am on the fence about cracking it, I would like to get it out to properly study and photograph it for y'all and in the future I think it'd do better in a CCCS slab over an ANACS one so maybe.. and yes! some nice 1969s you have

SPP, given the amount of 1969s there are and how available they are, do you think their high prices, often in the $600 are justified? and if not, what would you say a fair value is for these?

Fair value is $200-$300...a good deal if you get them $100-$200 $600 is too much and would suggest the seller doesn't really want to sell them

E/Fs..I've been pretty busy plus I can't get good pics of them for the life of me..darn ICCS holders!

For the 1-cent coins, the price depends on the grade and eye-appeal. MS-64Red in a PCGS holder are worth $350 - $400. MS-65 or higher are worth about $600... nice ones are out there, you just have to be patient. There are a lot of red-brown coins and ones with fingerprints on them. It took me a long time to find nice ones with eye-appeal in terms of colour and rotation with the second strikes. I was happy with MS-64 reds for my collection: http://www.PCGS.com/cert/29952933http://www.PCGS.com/cert/29952932The 1969 1-cent struck on 10-cent coins are scarcer and easily worth $1200 if MS-64, much more if the grade is higher and the eye-appeal is just right. It took me a long time to find a couple nice MS-65 grades in these. http://www.PCGS.com/cert/29952934http://www.PCGS.com/cert/32839537
