Have an 1980 D LMC with missing letters on reverse. Is this a Greaser?

That is a filled die error. They are pretty common and don't usually carry a premium.

There is also an issue with the striking of the obverse. When the shoulder is being struck, the metal may have a hard time fill the opposite devices. SO it can be a two fold issue. Neither warranting a premium. The more desirable coins are the ones with the devices filled evenly.
