Fellow community members, coin collectors and coin dealers.

I would like to send a stolen coin warning for following coin, which was stolen/exchanged by a suspected credit card trickster/hacker during Septmber 2016.

I would not like to go into details of the actual fraud of (this is a task for the police authorities), but I would like to reccomend to you not to buy the coin (1763, Kingdom of Hungary, Maria Theresa. Large Silver "Madonna" Thaler Coin. R! - ebay Item # 371717966455) if it is being offered to one of you.

The buyer is located in Wilmington, DE 19810, USA (where the coin was sent to and received on September 14, 2016 in the name of Ed**** Ly*** ( ebay Nickname: "happyj***").

The buyer has never reacted to my messages, I heard no complaint or anything else (it is possible, that his ebay account/credit card was hacked or misused by a third person). He has got been blocked by me of course for any future purchase.

Any information about this coin being offered or sighted (please compare the details and scratches in order to avoid misunderstandings and false accusations) would be welcomed.

Thank you for your attention.

This is not an ebay or Paypal problem, it is just a case for the police and the numismatic community.

I'm reading that you sent this coin but either didn't have payment or the payment wasn't good? Or did you send it without tracking?

Sounds like it was a fraudulent/stolen credit card, or just a scam buyer reporting their own card or transactions as stolen/fraud. I was under the impression that there is some seller protection from Paypal in these instances, when tracking is provided and shows it was delivered. It is essentially a chargeback, or am I not reading it correctly?

With the help of Paypal the recovery of the frauded funds was successful.

Whoever did this thought to be clever, but as they say "Lies have short legs!"

I hereby have no more claims on this coin as I have received my money for it.

Many thanks Paypal!
