Hi guys, I got hold of a coin the other day and I have zero clue about anything coin related so I've come for help.

Just trying to see if it's a legitimate coin or a cheap one (likely free with a magazine) as I can't find anything about it online.

It translates as "great personalities of Russia" and feature L. B. Lobomonov

Any help would be appreciated. And if it's a joke coin, I apologise for taking up your time.

I am not familiar with this item but the first clue that it is not a legitimate coin is that it has no denomination.

I wasn't sure if it was perhaps a medal even. Or simply a commemorative piece.

A privately struck commemorative medal, probably made for tourists or for a cheap mail-subscription.

What are thos things the eagle holds in itīs beaks and claws?

I do not think, that this was ever part of the official coat-of-arms of the Russian Empire.
